Inner Mongolia is northern China’s cloud computing strategic industrial base providing for Beijing and Tianjin with almost $3 billion invested in Ulanqab data centres by 2020. 

 

Inner Mongolia has significant wind potential of 150 GW and led China overall in April 2021 with 50 GW installed renewable capacity that will double to over 100 GW by 2025 at over 50% of installed generational power capacity.

 

Inner Mongolia will have 1,000 km of high-speed rail by 2025 at around 50% of overall railway track length while electric trains will operate for over 90% of league cities including Hohhot, Baotou, and Ordos.

 

Manzhouli is connected to 11 European countries by 52 routes and Erenhot, with Germany, Poland, and Russia for example, over 27 routes as the biggest railroad port in China. 

 

Two of the three China-Europe Railway Express routes exit via Inner Mongolia and 50% of overall BRI trains travel through the province.
